Rafting

Do you wish to take a breather from the relentless tempo of modern day life? Do you need some me-time and want to spend it in unspoiled nature? Then rafting is the perfect choice for you.

Rafting is a water sport which every true sport enthusiast will find hard to resist. Surely you must be tempted to experience the river and its rapids in a rubber boat, along the way see the valley which the river has shaped throughout millennia, cool off in the river or just test your friends’ and relatives’ team spirit in a raft!

Rafting can almost be counted as a definition of Bovec. It is one of the most popular activities among visitors, as it requires no previous experience. It is enough if you can swim, as rowing across the lively rapids will be explained and taught to you by our experienced guides. The reason rafting is so popular is that you can try it out as group or just join another group and thus make new acquaintances.  

If you are interested in an adventure down the Soča River in a raft, do not forget to bring your towel, bathing suite and good will.

 Arangement incorporates:

1. Professional guiding

During the activity you will be escorted by our experienced guides. The guides are local and therefore know the river and terrain exceptionally well. They are qualified professionals with years of experience in tourism, and have completed all the necessary obligatory courses, and have therefore acquired permits for supervising these sorts of sport activities.

2. Transportation options

In case you are unable to acquire transportation from gathering point to starting point we can organise it for you.

3. Quality equipment

Your safety is guaranteed by equipment of the finest materials and approved by European standards. For rafting you use: a neoprene suit, boots, life-jacket, anorak and helmet.

Terms

The season lasts from the start of April until the end of October.
The terms are every day at 9.00, 12.30 and 16.00.
It is desirable to book the term at least one day beforehand.

Gathering point

The gathering point is in front of the office of our sports agency at least 15 minutes prior to the activity.

For the activities, you will need:

• bathing suit,
• towel and
• T-shirt (recommended).
